The first mini bikini i wore was a micro pouch, but with a 3/4' back and, since i wore it at a "regular" beach, i had mostly annoying comments (made by men, of course).
I also wore several thong bikinis afterwards, but i think that the beaches i wore them at were attended by more open-minded people and never got any bad comment (nor good, most of the times, only some looks, but without any comments)

The first time I wore a tiny bikini swimsuit in public was at a lake in northern Michigan a few years ago. It was during an unusually hot summer. I was on vacation with my wife and the in-laws. My suit really showed off my package and became vitually see-thru when wet. Comment #1 came from my mother-in-law who said she could not believe I would wear that @#$!&* suit in public.
