To answer the question about cruise ships, I've been on a number of "mainstream" cruises," all of them to the Caribbean and Mexico. Unfortunately, nearly all guys wear board shorts on the ship. I have worn suits as skimpy as a skinzwear "skinny side Rio," but that was probably shocking to many of the cruisers, not that I care too much.
At some of the islands, things are much different. On the French islands, and the French side of St. Martin, all of the beaches are topless for women, and skimpy suits are commonplace on guys. There is at least one nude/clothing optional beach on all of the French islands. On the British, Dutch, and independent islands, Speedos are fairly common, but even suits like the Enticer would be uncommon.
If anyone knows of cruises that are not as "prudish" as the ones I've been on, I'd like to know about it. I don't mind getting a little attention wearing small suits, but I don't like feeling completely out of place wearing them, as is the case on most cruise ships.

Re: Cruise Ships, I just came back from a Caribbean cruise, and mostly board shorts at the main pools, but this ship had a 3rd level above the pool tanning area, more remote and the suits did become more exciting, I did a small square cut, and spied an even smaller square-cut almost bikini with nice formed pouch (and filled), and one day a nice micro, so IF you are to find some good views, they're usually in the more remote tanning areas,.,.,
