A number of years ago I had a chance to spend some time in Hamburg Germany and I had some interesting experiences.
I had a chance to get some sun in the central park area of the town where you see men laying out in speedos and bikinis, I opted for a micro thong by far the smallest any of the men were wearing and a few of the ladies just stripped down to their birthday suits on what seemed to be a lunch break. I loved the vibe there. My hotel had a big spa and work out area. I went in with a friend and remember the girl at the front desk mentioning to me that spas here are different then our spas in the USA, how so I asked and she said many of the areas are co-ed. No problem for me but as she told us it is for many Americans who visit. They had a cool indoor pool and I felt totally relaxed swimming in my tiniest suit. There were a number of younger men there in bikinis and they were no doubt hairless. Get them shaving in their teens! As I found out later many people feel free to swim nude, mostly the older folks, the young ones seem to keep some clothes on. I decided to take a sauna and as we were going to the dressing room I noticed most of the men walking in and out of the sauna were nude. My motto is always when in Rome, so I dropped my swimsuit into the locker grabbed a towel, tried to talk my friend to no avail into going nude and headed for the sauna. When I opened the sauna door I noticed a couple older ladies nude, a number of girls teens to 20s in swimwear and a few men and teens ranging from 15 to 30 all nude. I grabbed a nice spot and just relaxed. It was so nice and the attitude is so causal. Of course everyone looks and checks each other out, human nature, but nothing overt and in this culture nude is the norm. I would love to hear about other places through out the world and in our own backyard that have this type of attitude when it comes to the human form.
