I was right about 12 when I slipped on my first bikini. It belonged to a friend of mine who's mom bought it for him but he would not wear it.
I first noticed bikini styles when our very handsome neighbor and his great looking wife came over to my families pool. They were in the clothing business and traveled to Europe all the time. I was blown away when he jumped in the pool with his tiny European bikini. I noticed all the girls and women could not take their eyes off of him. Was about 16 and just fell in love with this daring G-string swimthong by Kiniki, they dont do it any more all gone normal. My parents were not amused as I was just showing slightly above waist band.

O that brings back good memories. I had my first underwear thong when I was 16. The brand was HOM, a German underwear brand. I could not believe I had the courage to buy it an dwearing it was a real turn on. Step 2 was the thong bikini. Same brand, HOM. It was yellow black and grey. I bought it when I was 19, but only had the courage to wear it 1 year later in South of France when on a trip with my parents. It was a thrill, i tried it on at the private pool first then at the beach... Since then I am hooked

Little precision: HOM is a French brand founded in 1968 in Marseille (South of France). It has been acquired by the Triumph group in 1986.
I wore many of their thongs and bikinis over the years, but found they were covering way too much after I discovered Koalaswim!

Public jr.high swim class was nude, but wore speedo outdoors from then on until 22yrs in college discovered some $3 nylon bikini underwear 1cm waist named St.Tropez, so I thought it would be good as swimwear. Tried its first display in dormitory bathroom while shaving at sink. Some guys' comments positive, some neg, but it got attention! Another attention-getter was a no-seat-strap jock, I sewed a loop of elastic into it to secure it around testicles - kept it from coming up with erecting penis and felt good. After job earned money I could spend, moved swimwear down to a narrower-than speedo "Racer" as my usual, and side-tie bikini "Nada" both from the now-defunct "Parr of Arizona". That was more than 30 years ago, still have some to wear, and from which I can always compliment the rare female who will wear bikini into my gym pools. Also appreciated the old fat lady's gasp of "Oh my G.." when I emerge from shower to walk past her spa to the pool!

Here in Europe, what you call bikinis are pretty normal, so my first one was nothing special. But my first thong about 15 years ago was a real turn on. The girl I was with at the time found a yellow Hom swim thong in a store when we were on holiday in France and bought it as she wanted to see what it looked like on me. I got hard as soon as I put it on. I wore it on the beach next day and had real problems keeping my cock inside. Finally, my girlfriend jerked me off right there on the beach. my first time with a sexy suit was when i was 16. i bought a very tight square cut suit. for the conservative community i live in this was shocking. i wore a jocj strap underneath to conceal the equiptmment. about a year later i went to a speedo again with a jock strap underneath. the following summer i got brave bought a smaller speedo and left the jock off. that was my gear until a few years later when i went to the islands. figured noone would know me there and i bought a conservative thong. the first time out i was a little unconfortable. on the 3rd day of my vacation i was in one of the gift shops at the resort and they sold swimwear. i was looking thru it and found a lime green suit that had just a pouch with a string up the ass and string tie sides. walked away but came back later in the day and had to buy it. from there it went down hill. i now wear the tiniest gstring i can find and laugh how i thought my first square cut was so hot and sexy

I remember when I was about 13 an older cousin came to stay and he had a black shiny satin-type bikini, with lace-up sides, and the make was Red Sail. I just had to try it on, which I did. I was too big, but I tied it up really tight, and I still got a hard-on. Then a few years later, at boarding school, the senior boys, especially the swimming champions, wore Red Sail bikinis too, as a sign of their virility, so I knew I was OK(!). Then I too discovered Hom swimwear in France, which seemed to me to be so sexy, while still showing off one's manhood. I bought quite a number of the briefest styles, and still have a few. More recently I discovered a whole new range of possibilities with Joe Snyder and then Koala, and I haven't looked back.

Mid 50's: went to a swimming and diving demonstration at our local community pool. Saw speedos on the guys and knew I wanted one. Bought the smallest one I could find but was not that pleased with it. Would try to roll down the waiste and roll up the legs but did not get the look I wanted. Mid 60's my wife was wearing low-rise hip hugging bikinis. From then on I wore such women's suits until Koala etc. came on the market and offered something better. Even now a women's rio cut suit worn backwards has a stunning effect.

I was 12 when I came across a jockstrap in my older brother's drawer. I didn't know skimpy underwear like that even existed!
Of course, not long after that I tried on a bikini of my sister's and loved the way it looked and felt on me.
I've been a fan of next-to-nothing underwear ever since.
